The Arabs Have Stopped Applauding Obama

December 8th, 2009

This article appears to be one of the most substantial critiques of President Obama’s method of handling diplomacy, particularly in the troubled regions of the Arab Gulf States as well as in India and Kashmir.

The thrust of the article, as you’ll be able to tell, is that, rhetoric aside, the fabled intellectual nuances of the current president have not only failed to yield any discernable results, but in fact have hindered the process of détente in the entire region.  It’s a sobering and well argued position.  Take a look.

I’m also following this particular article with Peggy Noonan’s article this past Saturday. “He Can’t Take Another Bow” is Ms. Noonan’s view of the Obama presidency to date, particularly in the area of foreign affairs.  While her style is different, the same points are being punctuated.
