Boone H.S.’s graduating senior Jack Rummler, was recently honored by the Florida Scholastic Press Association as “student journalist of the year.” While the award has merit in itself based on Jack’s passion and commitment, noteworthy is that his accomplishments were undeterred by the dozen-plus surgeries and medical complications from his congenital spina bifida which kept him sidelined for weeks at a time.
